My Favorite Content Strategy for ‘Visual’ Agencies

Example

Content Marketing

Clipwing Pro's innovative content strategy helps creators stand out on YouTube Shorts while increasing their reach and visibility.

Example

Lera runs a YouTube Shorts agency called Clipwing, and I hadn’t heard of it until one day. It started randomly popping up in my feed because I follow Greg Isenberg’s YouTube show.

Lera’s primary strategy? She turns popular creators' YouTube videos into Shorts, adding a side-by-side visual with the Clipwing watermark.

It’s like what Nick Buzz did with his $100k MRR design agency and ‘public roasts,’ but instead of roasting, she’s remixing.

Whenever Greg or another big creator drops a new video, Lera quotes it with a side-by-side comparison showing the original video next to her revamped Shorts version.

Why It Works:
The visuals are top-notch, and the animations are crazy good, better than what you usually see scrolling through YouTube Shorts. And because she’s tapping into these creators’ follower bases, her work gets amplified even more.

Another move I’ve recently seen from Lera is taking existing clips and upgrading the animations, which was sparked by a Twitter comment.

If Greg’s followers love Lera’s work, they start tagging Lera under other popular business creators’ tweets, and it just forms an automated word-of-mouth system, like what happened with Shaan Puri here.

Lera then took on the challenge of remixing this YouTube Short, and once again, the tweet exploded, with everyone enjoying the new version more.

Action:
Here’s an example of how you can steal this strategy for a Facebook ad agency:

  1. Pick a Creator: Grab a popular Twitter creator and mock up an ad campaign based on their brand or a recent FB ad they’ve run. The FB ad library could be your friend here.
  2. Level Up the Visuals: Do something like what Adfolio does here to add slick visual explainers. Make it clear how your version is a serious upgrade.
  1. Share the Glow-Up: Post your before-and-after on Twitter, quote rt the creator, and let your engagement roll in from their followers and yours.
  2. Keep It Rolling: Keep cranking these visuals out consistently. Spend much time on it, and you’ll start getting that viral engagement loop Lera’s created.
